✦About this vibe

Pocket Metropolis is a small pastel city-builder that fits in your pocket. A 12×12 isometric island floats in a soft sky, with grassy tiles on a layered soil base and a blurred shadow underneath. Every object is drawn procedurally on a single canvas: gabled houses in peach, blush, mint and lavender with chimneys and doors, and pastel towers with window grids, pilasters and rooftop tanks, gardens or blinking antennas. There are round-canopy trees that sway, parks with winding paths, flowerbeds, fountains, benches and strollers, and roads that auto-join their markings, sidewalks and zebra crossings. Water tiles have sandy banks and drifting glints. Little cars keep to the right-hand lane of connected roads. A slow day/night cycle moves the sun and moon along an arc, tints every surface through an ambient-light model, flips side-lighting and shadow direction between morning and evening, and at night lights up windows, streetlamps, antennas and headlights. The HUD is set in a rounded, friendly sans and rendered as cream cards: a title card with a sun/moon dial clock, a speech-bubble stats card whose drawn face smiles or frowns with happiness, and a raised pastel toolbar.
