Planet Forge — Procedural World Generator
An interactive single-file Opus 5.5 web experiment with its original prompt.
✦About this vibe
Planet Forge is a procedural world generator styled as a deep-space survey console. The left stage is a cosmic black field with a painted nebula and seeded starfield, where a slowly rotating planet is shaded per pixel: fractal terrain mapped to biomes, drifting clouds, a soft day/night terminator with sparkling city lights on the night side, an atmospheric rim and halo, and optional rings that cast a real shadow band across the globe while the planet shadows the rings in turn. Moons orbit on faint traced ellipses and pass in front of and behind the planet. A survey record in the top-left gives each world a catalogue designation ("JH-4471 e"), a class, playful but plausible stats and a fictional field note; the right-hand console of thin cyan (#4cc9f0) lines and clipped-corner glass panels holds presets, sliders, toggles, seed and export.
