Organic Wave Lab — Ripple Tank
An interactive single-file Opus 5.5 web experiment with its original prompt.
✦About this vibe
A full-screen ripple tank that feels like a luminous physics instrument. The whole viewport is a live water surface solved from the discrete 2D wave equation and lit from above: deep teal troughs (#0b4f6c), aqua slopes (#3ee6d6), coral-tinted crests (#ff7b6b), sharp specular glints and soft caustic brightening where waves focus. It opens mid-experiment. A glowing wave paddle sends plane waves into a pearl-white barrier, and two slits spread them into a fan of interference fringes with clear nodal lines. Two organic, asymmetric-cornered glass instruments float above the water. On the left is the lab console (tools, experiments, medium, oscillators, palette, actions). At the bottom right is a probe oscilloscope, joined by an animated dashed "lead" to a crosshair probe in the water. Three palettes restyle both the water and the glass: Lagoon, Bioluminescent (electric blue on midnight with cyan-green crests) and Monochrome ink (an ink-wash print on warm paper). On phones the tank runs in portrait (waves travel downward), the console becomes a bottom sheet and the scope docks top-right.
